Roller banners (also called pull-up banners or retractable banners) are the workhorse of trade-show display. Materials we print on

The standard banner panel is 200gsm PVC with a matt anti-glare finish. PVC takes UV ink with sharp print quality and vibrant colour, holds shape against the spring tension of the base, and resists the curl that lighter materials develop. For weekly travel use we step up to 440gsm grey-back blockout media on a more substantial base unit, where the heavier weight and opaque centre layer hold shape across many setups. The stretch fabric format swaps the rolled cassette for a tensioned polyester panel stretched over an aluminium frame, giving a heavier visual presence and no creasing over time.

Setting up artwork for roller banner printing

Supply your artwork at the finished banner size (e.g. 850mm x 2000mm) at 150dpi minimum. CMYK colour mode, with 3mm bleed on all sides. PDF format is preferred. Vector elements (logos, large text) should be supplied as vector for sharp scaling. Outline your fonts before exporting. Leave the bottom 100mm of the design clear or as a non-critical area: this is the section that loads into the base unit and gets partially obscured. Keep important content (headlines, contact details, calls to action) in the top two-thirds of the visible area, where eye level lands when standing.
