Waterproof posters use PVC stock that handles NI weather. Backlit posters print on translucent film for lightbox displays. Choosing the right poster size
A2 (420×594mm) and A1 (594×841mm) are the workhorse sizes for indoor wall display. A0 (841×1189mm) is the academic conference standard — Queen's University Belfast and Ulster University both expect A0 portrait for research posters. A3 fits standard frames for smaller spaces. A4 is for noticeboards and quick handouts. Above A0, step into our large-format range which goes up to 60 inches wide.
Setting up artwork for poster printing
Supply your artwork as a print-ready PDF at 150dpi minimum at the finished poster size. CMYK colour mode, with 3mm bleed on every edge. Vector artwork is preferred for sharp text and logos at large sizes — outline your fonts before exporting. Keep critical content at least 10mm from any trim edge to allow for framing.
